One of the questions we get asked most is, "Why white?"

The answer goes back to a dream. Years before Jesus OverAlls® became a company, I dreamed I was in heaven, and everyone was epically wearing white. The image stayed with me long after I woke up, and when it came time to design our very first pair of OverAlls, I didn't spend much time choosing a color because I already had one.

We always intended to make them in black, but we thought we'd introduce that color later. Then we started taking them to markets, and almost immediately people began requesting them. We heard it so often that it became clear black didn't belong in a future collection. It belonged in the first chapter, so we found a way to launch with both.

To me, white reminds me of His light, black reminds me of His shadow, and both are His wraparound presence.

Then something more unexpected happened once people started trying them on. Instead of asking how to keep them perfect, people began imagining what they could create. They wanted to draw on them, embroider them, add more patches, and make them their own, and I realized the OverAlls were beginning to look less like garments and more like canvases.

Canvases aren't meant to stay white. They're meant to carry a life, growing richer with every memory, every repair, every patch, and every chapter you choose to add. That life might include a child's first drawing, a favorite Scripture stitched into the pocket, paint from renovating your first home, a patch collected on a road trip, or a stain that became a memory instead of a reason to throw them away. Those aren't imperfections to us. They're beautiful revisions that reflect a life fully lived.

We've watched kids cover our OverAlls in washable marker, red frosting, and grass stains only to see them come perfectly clean again. The cotton blend is remarkably resilient and designed to keep up with real life, and if your dream is to keep yours perfectly white, we're here for that too. They're even bleach friendly.

The more people wanted to make the OverAlls their own, the more I realized we'd gotten something right. Jesus OverAlls® aren't meant to end with our creativity. They're meant to invite yours.

That's why customization has become such a big part of where we're headed. Some details will be stitched in forever, while others are meant to change with the seasons. A favorite Scripture today may make room for another tomorrow, and a child's artwork may eventually give way to the next masterpiece. We hope these garments tell a richer story with every memory they carry, becoming pieces that are worn, remembered, repaired, and passed from one generation to the next.
