The First Pair.

I had an idea for a gift. A plan. He had another.

For over well over a decade, I worked as an artist and designer. Then my life took an unexpected turn, I said “yes” to Jesus. After I did, I felt Him ask me to lay everything down, including creating. So I did. Four years passed. Then, in the middle of that break, I felt the Lord give me permission to make one thing: a thank-you gift for someone who walked closely with my family through what I now call The Great Overhaul. I planned to embroider the name Jesus on a denim jacket. Instead, I walked out of the store carrying a pair of linen overalls. As I made my way back to the car, overalls in hand, four words stopped me in my tracks. "Yeah. Jesus. Over. Alls." I laughed. Out loud. On the street. By myself. God is our Father, and it was the ultimate dad joke.

So I went home and embroidered Jesus OverAlls® across the front of those overalls, just as you'll still find it on our garments today. I gave them away and thought that was the end of the story. It wasn't. About a year and a half later, with our third child due in just a few weeks, I felt the Lord ask me to turn that one pair into a company. So, once again, I said “yes.”
